What services does Nottingham Ear Clinic offer?
We provide private ear care, including private ENT consultations, microsuction wax removal, foreign body removal, treatment for ear infections, and routine ear health checks. Our aim is to help you access the right assessment and treatment in a calm, professional clinic environment.
Who will assess and treat me?
Your care is led by GMC-registered doctors with specialist ENT training. Where hearing assessment or hearing aid support is needed, this can be arranged with appropriately qualified audiology professionals.
Do I need a GP referral to book?
No. You can book directly online or by calling the clinic. If you are unsure which appointment is most appropriate, our team can guide you before booking.
How do I know which appointment I need?
If your main concern is blocked ears or suspected wax, microsuction may be suitable. If you have pain, discharge, tinnitus, dizziness, hearing change, recurrent infections or you are unsure of the cause, a private ENT consultation may be more appropriate. We will always aim to guide you toward the safest and most clinically suitable option.
What happens if my symptoms are not caused by ear wax?
If no wax is found, your appointment will be converted to a Private ENT Consultation so your doctor can assess other possible causes of your symptoms. This may include infection, inflammation, eustachian tube dysfunction, middle-ear concerns, tinnitus or hearing change, with treatment, aftercare advice, follow-up or onward referral where appropriate.
How soon can I get an appointment?
We offer regular clinics, including weekend availability where possible. Same-day appointments may be available depending on clinic capacity. You can check availability online or call 0115 837 2252 and we will do our best to help.
What equipment do you use?
We use clinical ear care equipment, including ENT-grade digital microscopes for microsuction and examination. This allows the clinician to assess the ear canal clearly and provide precise treatment where appropriate.
How much do appointments cost?
Our current prices include Private ENT Consultation £95, Microsuction Wax Removal £110, Foreign Body Removal £149 and Treatment of Ear Infection £179. Routine Ear Health Check is £35. Prices are shown clearly before booking, and a small deposit may be taken to secure your appointment.
