Cancellation Policy
Your appointment is very important to us, and our objective is to ensure that you receive the best experience possible. While we understand that sometimes scheduled appointments cannot be met, we respectfully request at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Please understand that if you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, it becomes difficult or impossible to re-fill that appointment slot.
If you are unable to attend your appointment or would like to reschedule, please contact the clinic at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
Please be aware that late arrival may result in a shortened or cancelled appointment and a cancelled appointment will be subject to the terms and conditions below.
If you cancel an appointment over 48-hours in advance then any payment paid will be fully refundable, or you will be entitled to carry any monies forward to a re-scheduled appointment.
If you fail to give at least 48-hours’ notice that you will not be able to attend, then any payment made or due will be non-refundable.
Our aim is to provide you with an excellent level of service and our Cancellation Policy helps us to achieve this. Thank you for viewing and understanding.
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions, without specific reason and without notice. Please check these specific terms and conditions frequently to view any recent changes.
Microsuction Wax Removal Terms of Service
If no wax is found, you'll only be charged our standard consultation fee of £29.99 for your ear & hearing health check.
During the consultation if a contraindication to the procedure becomes apparent then the clinician will not go ahead with the procedure. You'll only be charged our standard consultation fee of £29.99 for your ear & hearing health check.
If the wax removal is unsuccessful, the clinician may ask you to use olive oil drops for five days before re-booking a return appointment at no additional cost.
It shall be the decision of the clinician should a follow up be required. There is a limit of one follow-up appointment.
Incidents during ear wax removal are uncommon, especially with micro-suction. However, possible minor risks that can occur and are deemed to be acceptable include: small nicks to the ear canal which can result in minor bleeding, soreness, mild discomfort and short-term ringing in the ear (tinnitus).
To ensure the risk of complication is minimal, it is essential that accurate past medical history is supplied to our clinicians.
More serious risk to the ear or eardrum can occur if the client does not remain adequately still or positioned during the procedure. Patients should inform the clinician of any discomfort or likely sudden movements occurring as a result of coughing or sneezing.
Further possible complications, side-effects and material risks inherent in the procedure include but are not limited to: incomplete removal of earwax requiring a return visit (for severely impacted wax), persistent tinnitus, perforation of the eardrum, hearing loss and infection.
To keep the risk of infection to a minimum, all equipment used in the ear is single-use only. However, there is always a risk that infection can occur once the patient leaves the premises.
Please contact the clinic for a follow-up visit should you experience any discomfort or worrying symptoms within two weeks of your procedure.
For further information please refer to our patient leaflet. This will also be emailed to you. Copies are also available from reception.
