Comprehensive Ear, Hearing & Audiology Services
In addition to microsuction ear wax removal, our clinic provides comprehensive private medical consultations and audiology services for a wide range of ear-related symptoms and conditions, including:
- Ear pain and recurrent ear infections
- Tinnitus (ringing or noise in the ears)
- Dizziness and balance disorders
- Middle ear conditions (such as perforations, Eustachian tube dysfunction and chronic otitis media)
- Hearing concerns and suspected hearing loss
Our approach combines expert medical assessment with advanced audiological testing, allowing us to fully assess, diagnose and manage ear and hearing problems in one setting.
Clinical Expertise
All medical consultations are carried out by GMC-registered General Practitioners with specific training and experience in otological (ear) assessment and management.
We work closely with our specialist audiologist, ensuring that both the medical and hearing aspects of your care are addressed thoroughly and safely.
Audiological Assessments
We offer a range of advanced audiological investigations to assess hearing and middle-ear function in detail:
- Pure Tone Audiometry (Hearing Tests)
A detailed hearing test that measures how well you hear sounds at different pitches and volumes. This helps identify the presence, type and degree of hearing loss and is interpreted alongside your clinical findings.
- Tympanometry (ENT-Grade Middle Ear Testing)
Tympanometry is a specialist ENT-grade diagnostic test that assesses how well the eardrum and middle ear are functioning.
This test provides objective information about:
- Eardrum mobility
- Middle ear pressure
- Fluid behind the eardrum
- Eustachian tube dysfunction
- Possible perforations
- Tympanometry is not usually available outside of hospital ENT departments, as it requires specialist equipment and clinical interpretation.
- Balance (Vestibular) Assessment
For patients experiencing dizziness or balance symptoms, targeted vestibular assessments help determine whether the inner ear balance system may be contributing to symptoms.
- Tinnitus Assessment & Support
If you experience tinnitus, we assess its characteristics and impact, using audiological findings and clinical assessment to guide management and support options.
Audiology Referral Pathway
Where appropriate, patients are referred directly to our in-clinic audiologist for expanded hearing assessment and ongoing hearing care support. This ensures continuity of care within the same trusted clinical team.
Consultations
We offer two main consultation options. While both provide valuable assessment, the Private Medical Consultation is our most comprehensive, all-inclusive service.
Private Medical Consultation
(Our most comprehensive assessment)
Designed for patients with symptoms, ongoing ear problems, hearing concerns, tinnitus or balance issues.
Includes:
- Full medical history and symptom assessment
- Comprehensive clinical examination by a GMC-registered GP
- Detailed ear examination using digital video otoscopy
- High-resolution images and video of both ears (available to share with your NHS GP on request)
- Integrated audiological assessment where clinically indicated (hearing tests, tympanometry, balance assessment)
- Clear diagnosis and explanation of findings
- Personalised management and treatment plan
- Private prescriptions where appropriate
- Referral letters to your GP, ENT consultant or audiologist if required
This appointment provides a complete end-to-end assessment, combining medical expertise with advanced diagnostics to ensure nothing is missed.
Ear & Hearing Health Check
A focused assessment for patients seeking a routine check of ear and hearing health.
Includes:
- Ear examination
- Brief hearing screening
- Identification of any concerns that may require further investigation
- Advice on next steps if additional assessment or treatment is recommended
This option is suitable for general monitoring or initial screening but does not replace a full medical diagnostic consultation.
Additional Diagnostic & Medical Services
Where clinically indicated, we can also arrange:
- Ear swabs analysed by a specialist microbiology laboratory to identify infection and guide targeted treatment
- Private prescriptions for antibiotic or antifungal medication
- MRI and other imaging
- Referral to consultant ENT surgeons for advanced evaluation or surgical opinion
If any abnormalities are identified, we have direct access to a network of ENT consultants and audiologists for expert review, second opinions and tailored clinical guidance.
Additional Information
If treatment is required, our clinicians will provide appropriate medical advice and prescribe medication when indicated.
Please note that additional procedures or treatments outside of the consultation fee may incur separate charges.
